Go-Seva - Save a Cow - Cow Protection

Please help protecting Krishna's cows! Sudevi Mataji, in her Goshalla (cow shelter), near Radhakund, India, is taking care of all the sick, injured and abandoned cows, which are ever so dear to Lord Sri Krishna. No one needs sick and handicapped cows, therefore they are abandoned. But Sudevi is giving shelter and protection to all those lonely cows, by supplying food and medicines.

Urgent help is needed for food and medicines for these abandoned cows. If you can help with a small donation, even if it is very little, it surely will help. Sudevi Dasi, lives through great difficulties in meagre conditions with the cows that she cares for and she never wastes any money. Please donate whatever you can afford. You can directly send your donation to Sudevi's German bank account.

Since Sudevi spends her whole day with the cows, she is not available on facebook or on the internet. But you can send her an email for verification or contact her on the indian phone number: 00-91-9719573253 (00 91 99276 68182). All donations will be acknowledged by Sudevi Dasi, and you will be doing such a wonderful service. Please help saving the cows!

Please find Sudevis German bank details below for those who would like to transfer the amount directly.

The Radha Surabhi Goshala (www.radhasurabhi.com) is a goshala (cow shelter) for abandoned, injured and sick street cows, located in a small village called Radha Kund in Uttar Pradesh, India. The goshala is run by Sudevi Dasi from Germany (Friederike Irina Brüning) with a few local helpers to assist her in the daily tasks of feeding and giving medical attention. The goshalla maintains abandoned cows, bulls and orphaned calves which are picked up from the streets in the Radha Kund and Govardhana area. "Everyday people bring cows to our door, and we never turn them away", Sudevi says. Many of the cows that reside at the goshala have leg injuries and have learnt to balance or walk on three legs. There are also cows that are paralyzed and supported on specialized cow slings several hours a day to ensure they are upright to help blood circulation. With no medical knowledge prior to the goshala, Sudevi has learnt how to put bandages, clean wounds and straighten broken legs, as there are no vets in the vicinity.

Driving direction:
From Mathura Road (National Highway 2) at Chhatikara, take the Govardhan Road towards Radha Kund. Upon reaching the Radha Kund t-point, turn right and go ahead 200m. Turn left at the fork in the road, and follow the road clock-wise around Radha Kund until you reach the Konai Road. Turn left onto Konai Road and proceed. After approximately 1km you will see Radha Surabhi Goshala is on the left, immediately after a Gaudia Math temple.

India is famous for her "Holy Cow." Unfortunately although the sentiment still remains in India to protect Mother Cow in reality no one actually seems to care about the cows and India is fast becoming one of the biggest beef exporters in the world. This documentary on the Gosala of Mother Sudevi in Radha Kund near Krishna's Vrindavan shows clearly the precarious position of Mother Cow in India Today. This is a very touching, inspiring and heart-warming documentary and exposes the Indian's real attitudes to the "Holy Cow."
